What Is The Colgate Invisible Sheild?

The one mentioned in the Alice Cooper song “Generation Landslide”
Part of the lyrics (line before plus the one in question)
“Stopped at full speed at one hundred miles per hour.
The Colgate invisible shield finally got ‘em.”

An early colgate commercials had a commercial where a baseball pitcher threw a ball at this guy’s teeth this animated shield would pop up and the ball bounced off like nothing happened.
Of course, people being stupid actually tried to simulate the commercial! You smile while a pitcher throws a 80 mph fastball to your head because that’s what these people did.

Gardol There was a commercial where a baseball was pitched at a guy. The ball bounced off a sheet of plasic. That was how Gardol protected against tooth decay, “like an invisible shield”
